Launching Actions

These are actions that either launch something, or help set up menus to launch something.

App Action

Launches the application you select on the drop-down list on the right.

DA Action

Launches the DA (Desktop Accessory) you select on the drop-down list on the right. (DA's are small utilities or programs that run on top of the application from which they are launched).

Panel Action

Launches the Panel you select on the drop-down list on the right. (Panels are dialog boxes that are used to change some setting in your Palm or on an application. Examples of panels are the ones found under "Prefs", or the ones launched from the Status Bar to change Wi-fi state, brightness, etc.).

Fill Action Category

Fill with Recent (Rcnt)

Used when creating menus. Create x menu items, being the most recent apps visited which had the 'Remember Me' checkbox ticked in the Prefs+ screen. In a star menu, if you have not yet visited x different apps, the positions will be filled in with empty actions to preserve the shape of the star.

Fill by Name (Name)

Only use this with a Graffiti:Letter,Letter+,Digit or Digit+ trigger. It fills into a menu the apps starting with the letter that activated the trigger.

Fill with Time (Time)

In a menu, show the time, and when pressed brings up the time/date system prefs panel. When assigned as the only item of a repeating button, just shows the time.

Fill with Date (Date)

In a menu, show the date, and when pressed brings up the time/date system prefs panel. When assigned as the only item of a repeating button, just shows the date.

Fill with Favourites (Fave)

Show x apps that have their 'favourite' checkbox ticked in the Prefs+ screen. The apps are added in the order that their preferences were created. There are 4 different sets of Favourites you can create.

Fill with Empty ("-")

In a menu, show x empty items. In a list menu, this is useful for dividing up sections of the list (a line is drawn) and x should probably be 1. In a star menu, it's useful for only having items assigned to the 5-way navigator buttons: make the first item in your star menu fill/empty/4 in order to skip the hardware buttons.
