Known Issues
- Apt does not notice when a DB is launched e.g. via ScreenButton
- a Time trigger going off while the device is going to sleep can cause Apt to become disabled (renable by relaunching Apt)
- the Centro seems to have more problems than other devices; currently known: full-screen lock problems, device slowness with some configurations
- only one idle time of each type per app is effective
- apps-by-letter: the cache is only replenished when you visit Apt i.e. new apps will not appear until you have visited Apt
- auto-repeats don't work when simulating button presses.
- strokes/taps will not function as lock triggers when it's not a full-screen lock
- In the …:Form action, form IDs are not (cannot be) verified and device will crash if a bad one is entered.
- zodiac launcher will cause all sorts of resets (iceicefire)
- Form+ trigger: successive form names with the first 15 characters being identical will cause incorrect reapplication of the trigger
- Apt preferences and triggers do not work within Apt
- last app before launching Apt is not remembered in the recent list
- some apps just don't work well with Apt triggers. The ones I know are: Battleships
- panel problems: star menu can be disrupted. Control and other list function may return the value of controls underneath the panel (to solve the last one: go to the panel via the Prefs app to get the control IDs).
- the screen redraw of the Apt UI is much slower when navigation is enabled.
- after a reset may need to wait a second or two before Apt key assignments become valid (system is still busy despite an app UI appearing)
- Enabling IR (via defaults or WM profile) in WebMessenger causes crash on startup (trgeoff)
- treo 680 keyboard lights come on when setting brightness (Enotar)(note: to self HsLightCircumstanceEnum)
- manual manipulation of DIA causes a press-and-drag artifact on icons in the default launcher (Applications). It's believed this is the case for all apps that manipulate the DIA (e.g. DIA_DA)
- popup menu doesn't work with a Reset trigger
- reinjection of unhandled keypresses doesn't work with some apps that directly test the current key state rather than watching for a virtual character
- SkinUI can cause problems with macros sticking: try disabling SkinUI for the app (or just relevant effects) where you have a problem.
- no icons are drawn for apps on external memory cards
- a small redraw problem in the UI for the target app selector when switching between fonts sometimes
- Apt triggers do not work when running an app via Zlink
