Trigger for nav to: Beginning / End of Line possible

Summary:

Found trigger for beginning / end of field, but not line. This would be most helpful while editing text on a Treo where there is no DIA

I did find X (trigger button) Field Begin / End, but that goes thru the whole field & not the line only…

I want to be able to have my cursor in the middle of a line & be able to go back or fwd to the beginning or end of the line…

I'm thinking that there is some sort of ascii code that we might be able to pass thru some Apt trigger so I can use 2NavUp whatever & go to beg. of line & 2NavDn whatever to go to end of line….

If not currently possible, Pent, could you please consider putting it in if it is one of those quicky things? It would probably help you as well….

So what you have right now then is basically Ctrl+Home and Ctrl+End, and what you want is Home and End.
Does that some it up?

yup, do you know how I could do it in Apt?

& while I'm at it; how's about another function I'd like to see: hiliting fm cursor position to end / beginning of line? - those would make editing & navigating a lot easier; sometimes getting the cursor to beginning of line is hard & on the small Centro screen, it is harder to tap 'n drag to hilite…. technical1

Should be easy enough, I stuck it at the top of todo list. Biggest annoyance is I would have to change the DB format to get the new actions in, so it would be probably next version if it gets done.

Sounds like a good plan, I'm certainly willing to wait; esp considering how you're gonna have to restructure the db format…

BTW, w/everything else going on, have you had time to address the lack of a dialog telling us how long we've been holding down the release trigger for locking… ?

Pent, what about ASCII codes? Would it be possible to achieve this (begin/end of line )w/ASCII codes & some sort of pen or other Apt trigger like Fill?

If so, no need to change db structure, if not, would this be easy to implement ? It seems like it would add a lot of functionality…
