Compatible with1.2 and1.3b1 databases.

Coming from1.2, backup before install. Your DB will be upgraded and will no longer be compatible with 1.2.

Changes since 1.3b1:

- flush key queue after center press in star menu: some reported the press was getting to
underlying app. Wonder if it will help….
- bugfix: star menu called from tag was crashing when item selected in Blazer & Friends
- removed blocking of DA launch in Blazer and friends (some useful DAs don't have UI and
don't crash)
- added warning in UI (once only) about DAs crashing in some apps
- don't handle hard button virtual character (excepting power) as a trigger when no physical
button is pressed. Pro: problem with Hobbyist software onscreen close button is solved. Con: Apt simmed
button presses can't be used to fire Apt button triggers (thanks technical1 for info)
- bugfix: calling popup list or star tag from star menu was sticking until user input sometimes.

This still happens on my 755p.

And the item you selected was definitely not a DA ?

Well, I didn't try it specifically on the 755, just the centro/Tx, so will give it a go.

Nope. It happens if I select ANYTHING from the star menu, OR, just dismiss it by tapping a blank area of the screen.

I installed this version. However, DA launch in Blazer is still blocked. Too bad..

Correction: the good news is that indeed DA launch is no longer blocked in Blazer.
The bad news: I got struck with a case of "apt disables itself", which is what made me post the above…

I just installed 1.3b2 onto my Centro & found that even after an Initiate engendered reset, I didn't get 'apt disables itself'…

The locking feature has improved some. I was able to assign Full Screen lock to 1 Cntr & it worked, but small drawback, it happened without the seconds ticking off while I was holding the trigger down; but since I had only 1 second set, it didn't seem to matter as much. However, when I tried the wrong trigger to release the lock i.e. 1 Hrd2, when the correct trigger was 1 Cntr, I didn't get an " x " telling me that it was an incorrect keypress, unfortunately I got a crash, tho, again, no ADI after the crash & reset the wrong release trigger provided….

When I switched fm Full screen lock to partial, the wrong release trigger didn't cause a crash, but when I changed the release trigger to 2 Cntr in partial screen lock, it came up w/one & then a second " - " character & it worked; Pent, good job on the update, but what happened to the seconds counting up upon holding down the lock release trigger, so one knows when to let go of pressing the button….?

It seems that when there is a Full Screen lock, rather than partial, the press of an incorrect release trigger will cause a crash, whereas when there is a partial screen lock, the press of an incorrect release trigger will generate an " x " & you get to try again.

Not getting a broadband connection now, but under 1.3b1, on my Centro, I tried bringing up a star menu w/my Fave1 & Recnt 4 apps & the menu came up, but when I tapped on anything it crashed… Will advise when I can further test this issue on 1.3b2…

Pent, thanks for getting out this version w/so many changes. Keep up the good work & please advise as to when a Lite version for 1.3 will be available. I want Treo users to see the benefit of those repeating triggers for Opt+HrdKey function. I loooovvve them!

BTW, I only provided the info that the source gave me on the 'Close' button issue. He provided the expertise…

Vovka, please download squeak (instructions in the thread on disabling) and when you get Apt disabled, run it and post the output.

Pent, on my Centro I get a crash when in Blazer bringing up star menu. The related Apt stuff follows:

trigger *defaults* 1 Hrd3 Apt Call fave & in *Tags1* :
(f)ave Fill Fave1

• Fill Rcnt 4

While in Blazer, & pressing 1 Hrd3, the star menu comes up, but when I press on white area, to not actually use any of the faves/recents, it goes straight to orange logo screen….

Thanks t1, I hadn't tested that configuration. On my Tx the star menu disappears before I have time to do anything about it, obviously needs a look :-)

I believe this just started happening with Apt 1.3b2— my private records get hidden, all of a sudden. When I go to regular palm prefs/security, i find that, indeed, the "hide" option is enabled. So, I switch to "show", but at some point later, this happens again — my palm hides the private records.

So, I decided to explicitly enable the Records option in the Apt Prefs—set it to "show" explicitly.

Hopefully, this would help, but before this version, I never had to do that— the system prefs would just take care of it.

It appears the Side Key (Treo) is broken. I have it set to adjust the brightness but nothing is happening when I press it. If I switch it to another key it works.

Don, which Treo are you using? On my Centro there are other assignments for the side key by default, so maybe Apt isn't overcoming these kind of assignments. Check the native Prefs screen in Buttons to see what is assigned to the Side button & check if you have any other 3d party apps that are making assignments to the side button for their own uses.

BTW, what level of Apt Priority do you have in Settings?

It was working; right up to the update being installed.

Priority = V. High

I tried a clean database with no luck.

On another topic: I noticed when the treo is in standby (REM, I think) with Apt enabled my hardkeys don't work to wake it up.

Crash Bug

Launched the Bluetooth Panel with Apt
Launched the Apt Menu with HB4
Tap List Ctrls or List Flds = Crash

Did not try any of the other menu items.
