Hello,

I've just finished reading through the whole Apt-related 1src forum, and I found one blurb in this post about something similar to what I'm experiencing on my Treo 755p with Apt 1.2(Lite).

I have several DA's, both "native" and ones created with Accessorizer. When I try to launch ANY of them on top of Blazer, I get a reset. The ones that are native, e.g., TealPad and TeikeiDA don't log an error in the crash log. The ones created from apps, using Accessorizer, always log the exact same error:

A reset was caused on <date> at <time> while running "<Accessorized app>": Form68K.c, Line:1771, No form event handler

Here is my *Default* configuration for Buttons (only 3 lines, till I buy it!):

1 / Hrd4 / Fill / Rcnt 7
2 / Hrd4 / DA / MetaDA
3 / Hrd4 / Apt / Menu

For probably my entire Palm lifetime, I've been using TealLaunch (currently disabled), but per PalmInternals' Speed Test, it's a hog, and Apt is MUCH less greedy. Anyway, TealLaunch is able to launch all of my DA's with no such problem. I even tried replacing MetaDA in the config and having it launch the desired app DA instead, but it still resets. With Apt, this config works fine everywhere else I've tried it, including with Initiate mapped to the Home (Hrd4) button (which Rob claims he can't program I8 to allow). Come to think of it, how is MetaDA able to run?

just to check: you've tried launching a DA with just a single button press (rather than press-and-hold) ?

Does that crash too ?

The problems with Blazer (and some other apps) I've seen have been related to erasing the popup-box that comes with
press-and-hold.

But then…I thought by not drawing the box in Blazer the problem was avoided…. do you see boxes popup in Blazer when
you use press-and-hold triggers ?

Hi Pent,

I tried a single-letter (not held) launch for a DA, and it still crashes.

When I press-n-hold my trigger (Hrd4) in Blazer:

• I don't see the status indicators.
• I do see my Rcnt popup fill, but as I navigate through them, their names disappear, so that eventually, it looks like the list is empty, but pressing Cntr on one of the "blank" items does launch that item.
• I do see MetaDA's popup list, and it behaves normally.
• I don't see the Apt menu's onscreen buttons, except for Apt's name and icon in the center of the screen, without a button border. It works when I tap it.

Btw, how much is Apt in $US (does PayPal take care of the conversion)? And are you back from your hard-earned vacation to process my order when I place it? :u)
