Just bought this application for my Palm Lifedrive. Most triggers are working fine, however the &-macro line is not reacting. I programmed the Bluetooth On/Off example: the panel is comming up, but then nothing happens any more. I experienced with the macro-timer in the settings menu from 0 to 70: no difference!
Do I forget something ?? Who can help me…
Anonymous,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Apt. Glad it is working for the most part for you. Let's look at that macro that is not behaving as expected.
First, I would like to request that you add the commands that you have entered into Apt & then tell everyone what exactly you expected & what happened.
It sounds like you need to enter something in the bluetooth screen & therefore you would do well to look at the tutorial & examples here relating to getting coordinates, but depending on what you want to achieve I can't say for sure…
Let everyone know,

Depending on which device you have the control IDs may be different. Go to the panel in the Prefs application and get the ID numbers there
to be sure. Also, I don't know which example triggers you are using. I recommend first trying just calling up the panel and tapping a button before going further.

I wish to toggle sound on/off whilst using Bejeweled.
In Default I set up:
.1 Hrd3 Panel Sounds and Alerts
When running Bejeweled I hit button 3 and hold it for 1 second but nothing happens.
Apt is active and when i hit the button in other apps it works fine.
What am I missing?

It's possible that the window is actually there but not visible (perhaps Bejewelled changes the window clip or some advanced voodoo), so you could try tapping the Panel controls with a macro and see if it does anything. Test in another app first.
Other than that, no suggestions, sorry. Some apps are just troublemakers as far as Apt goes. Blazer is another one.

Hi
Thanks for the fast response.
Adding the line
& Ctrl Tap 1007
flips pTunes beautifully but won't touch Bejewelled.
Additionally, I do not know if its just my version but the only settings (that I can find) for Bejewelled are the Prefs I am trying to automate
C'est la vie
Perry
C'est la vie? Its French and means "That's Life" with fatalist overtones.
No, Bejewelled does not have any setting controls of its own at all that I can find.
What is interesting is that I can use the Apt Prefs screen to set default volumes for Bejewelled on startup and that works fine.
It seems that once running nothing except a full exit is allowed to interfere.
It's only when my wife yells at me to turn the sound down/off that I need a quick "mute" button.

martinloat,
I use bejeweled2 & there are sound settings for that.
Sorry, I mean't the second-from-last line, 'C'est la via' came across fine :-)
The sound level you set in Apt Prefs screen is the system Game sound. It could be that this is only read on startup by Bejewelled (before Apt is was safe to assume that the sound level would not change while a program was running).

Perry, there is a much simpler solution. You can use Bejeweled's settings & just turn sound off there…
