- bugfix: trigger conditions (and more ?) were not recorded correctly in last 4 rows
- macros in tags now (again) place the contents of the tag at the end of
the current running macro (probably broke something else though :-))
[so if-then-else-by-tags should work again]
- added HS phone app to not-support-popup apps list
- bugfix: Tags in screen Two/Three were being missed
- bugfix: cmd bar action was dropping through to tag call
- took out stuck macro code, think that doesn't occur anymore with alarm driving
- Let trigger: no longer triggers if focus is in a table field

OK, Pent,

2 NavR App SprNames
& Pen Cbar r

now launches SN & passes on the r menu command shortcut, so it starts showing the SN prefs screen (the whole purpose of r)

I see that you have done something good w/the status of DIA, if it is down, the font is normal, if it is up, it automagically switches to small font… Sometimes I do not get the cursor showing in a field on which I tapped when the small font is showing, but it is inconsistent. When it does happen, the prob goes away when I go back & tap on the action line i.e. Pen-> Cbar & re-choose Cbar, then the cursor comes back.

In a related question- & I am looking totally at the other app as 'at fault', but maybe you'll be able to shed light on it….
once upon a time, b4 my TX had to go in twice for repairs… (shudder) I was able to run the following macro w/Resco Backup Pro & it worked:
(M) Mnt App RescoBackup+
& Pen Cbar B (for new backup)

I have my main SD card in the slot hi 90's % of the time. I take it out to put in my 2nd SD card, which is dedicated to backups & its volume is named Meredith - hence the (M) in the macro, completely spelled out… now that Cbar input works

So, when I want to do a backup on SD card Meredith, I go into the native Prefs app (so I can safely remove main SD card Velvet) & replace it w/Meredith- (& yes, I'm so fickle… w/my SD cards anyway :) ) I get RB telling me that the current project doesn't work w/the card I just mounted. I dismiss it w/a tap on the dialog, & then do the same w/the password dialog & when I re-enter the password, the backup begins.

So my question to you, besides just describing this to the RB developer, is there anything I can do in Apt to get around this? Off the top of your head?

Don't kill your vacation over this, you've done an unbelievable job on fixing bugs in the 1.1 & now 1.2 betas & some people, in some smartphone oriented forums think I'm too enthusiastic about Apt…. :D

I'm just feeling lucky that you might have an answer & yes, I did try to put in: "& … wait 1500 or 2500" betwn the Mnt & Pen Cbar lines, no dice…

Still have an delay with the Apps by Name trigger, I get 12s for some letters. Note that I am using Mykbd with a virtual keyboard, I checked in Graffiti and no delay.
I deleted Apt db just in case it was corrupted, and tried :
in Default
*/Let/Fill/Name
and I still have the delay. It seems that the new version of Apt does not like Mykbd keyboard…

Bugs still exists in 1.2b4

The names of star menu are confused when using apt:List…ID, the functions of these "List" are correct but the name of them are not. Probably it caused by the new apt:call action.

The auto-disable problem after connectting power still exists and I found a new auto-disable problem, after a phone call, the triggers of apt have no effect. And a very interesting thing is that after several minutes, the trigger functions of apt come back.

The List function problem sounds like you havn't installed the latest AptAssist.prc.

Thanks for the new 650 problem. You know 5% of the code is already 650 specific ? :-)

I DO install the latest aptassist.prc in the same zip file and some auto-disable problem can be repeated in treo680 of my friend.

I go to Apt:Menu star, I click Lst Ctrls, it shows me the controls, I click one, I can paste the ID into a field in Apt.

Or, I assign LCtl to a hard button. I press the hard button, it lists the controls.

Which bit is going wrong for you ? Could you describe in more detail ?

Edit: could you also describe the 'power' problem again briefly please ? I remember I couldn't reproduce it last time.

OK, I list my apt command below, I just use these function of "apt menu"
(1)Hrd3 : Fill : - (4)

• : Apt : LFrm
• : Apt : LMen
• : Apt : LFld
• : Apt : LCtl
• : Apt : GPnt

As the setting above, I should get star menu like this:

LFrm(up)

LFld(left) GPnt(center) LCtl(right)

LMen(down)

But now it shows like this:

GPnt(up)

LCtl(left) Apt Menu(center) LFrm(right)

LFld(down)

BUT the function of these buttons are right, like what I really want, means the names of star menu are confused.

I do also have problems with the charging since first time I installed Apt. TX will never charge when it is turned off with Apt installed.

The star thing: I recreated your star, and everything was as expected :-(

I can only think of one thing that would cause it, one of the records in your DB has all the popup names of the actions. It should get updated automatically (every time you leave Apt) when the names change, but sound like yours isn't getting done…. you could verify that by backing up Apt-DB.pdb and reconstructing the star with an empty DB.

Yes, press key or tap the star menu works well, just names of star menu are wrong. I will check this problem by a new empty db.

EDIT: Yes, Pent, using a new empty db, the names show correctly, you are right, this is a problem of upgrading db version.

cmlx: it's a mystery, because that DB record should get upgraded whenver you exit Apt if it's incorrect

Even though I still can't reproduce the disabled situation, I put in a third check for 650 having woken up, let's see if it helps. After this I'm a bit stuck.

Perhaps you could test the wakeup with that clean DB as well ?

Yes, but I need to try it out some more on my other Palms. Is there any 1.2 b4 lite out yet?

Pent, I will write down all of my apt settings and re-config them in a new empty db file to test.

I second reuqest the function of memo import / export apt settings, that will be easier to do so.

I think there must be a translation problem there, I can't imagine that Apt is stopping your battery charging.

Sorry Pent, I don't understand your meaning, I tried the "after charger connection/disconnection" and "after phone call", the auto-disable problem can be reproduced. (I did this test after warm reset and only run apt)

But after several minutes, the apt function auto-reactivate, so I think maybe after having a rest, apt does its works. :-)
(Just a joke, acturally I mean maybe some other system events prevent apt functions temporarily.)

I reproduced this problem with a new empty db. And just now I found it is not waiting several minutes to make apt reactivate, I just need power off device and power on again, apt reactivate.

No translation problem here. The problem occour during same period I installed Apt for the first time. But I will not blame Apt for it yet because it is not so logical.

Neither "device off" nor "connect charger" appear in my list of triggers, if that is indeed where one inputs these options??

BTW: Can confirm that 1b4 fixes:

• inoperational screens 2 and 3 of Tag1 and Tag2 apps
• c-bar input problem.

After toggle font, the actions of last 4 lines can only show "Bc" rather than normal "App, Acc, DA, Panl…"

who or what handles them? Are any of them connected to Apt? What is the significance of the italics?

I mean that charging your battery by power line and disconnect the power line, I don't have any trigger of apt about Con/DCon. All the above steps are done by my hands, not by apt.

OK, sth is confused. auto-disable means after some events(use my hand to charge my treo then take the power line off), apt lost its function. But if fact, the "enable" checkbox of apt still be checked.

ok, now i gotcha…

so yes and no: disabling of Apt doesnt happen every time I plug in/remove the charger, but it does sometimes, and I cant see the pattern

If my treo is powered down, when I plug in my USB charger, the screen comes on. Likewise, if the unit is off when i remove the charger. This sounds different from your sequence of events.

Most times simple plugging in and removing the charger doesn't affect Apt, but a few times when I tried switching the unit on and off several times, in between plugging in/removing the charger, then button presses reverted to their non-Apt defaults. As you have experienced, Apt returned to normal functioning pretty quickly. There didnt seem to be any change to the checking of the Enable box, as you also find.

I cant get this to happen consistently though.

I have noticed this type of disabling behaviour before, but whether it was due to this or something else I'm not sure. I actually thought it may have been related to incoming calls.

Yes geoff, after a incoming call, apt loses its function, and when you press the power button to power off your treo and then power on it, apt's function will come back, I think.

Can you reproduce the "last 4 lines" problem? With small font, the last 4 lines can only show "Bc" in the action category of apt, "app, acc, da, panl, ctrl, fill…" cannot be shown.

I just tested incoming calls a few times, and there was no disabling. Maybe it only happens in certain contexts
